Imagine being in a dense forest with a group of ten to fifteen people anxiously looking to you. They’re tired, hungry, and ready to get home, have a hot shower and a nice long nap. They’re looking to you because you’re the team leader. It’s up to you to navigate them safely out of the forest.
Now imagine you carefully pack away your map, discard your compass, and ignore all the natural signs of direction and rely on your gut feeling for where to go next. This isn’t leadership; it’s foolishness. Leaders know where they are going and how to get there. They use specific tools that lead to a specific destination. And when leaders do this well, people follow. And when faithful people follow faithful leaders, great things are accomplished.
The Lord has called all types of leaders to His church. Some are elders. Some are small group leaders. Some are ministry leaders. Regardless of what the Lord has called you to lead, the skills of leading are all the same. Join us as we discuss how to use the proper tool for creating goals that reach a vision.
