We are pleased to conduct a 3-credit course starting this month that studies the theology, theory and practice of biblical interpretation.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
1. Understand how their practice of interpreting the Bible is grounded in the theological nature and significance of the Bible itself.
2. Draw on recent theories of hermeneutics and language to understand the complexity of interpretation in general.
3. Know how to answer basic exegetical questions about a text, such as the meaning of words, the structure, background, etc.
4. Be able to articulate the connection between theology of Scripture, hermeneutic theory, and exegetical practice.

January 31 (Tuesday) and February 24 (Friday) 6.30 pm – 9 pm
March 11 (Saturday) 1 pm – 4 pm (TBC)
The course can be taken for credit or audit.
