After completing his master’s in the UK, Roger returned to Beijing, excited to share that he found Jesus. But, as Roger shared more of his story, it was obvious to a friend that the Jesus Roger was introduced to is vastly different from the Jesus of the Bible. After a few probing questions, this friend realized Roger had unintentionally joined a cult called the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Of course, you can encounter cults and false teachings about Jesus anywhere you go, and it’s important to be able to recognize false teaching when you hear it. That’s why our upcoming discipleship class summarizing the Bible’s foundational teachings about Jesus is so important.
