Hello Church Family,
We are excited to announce that on March 3, we will start a THIRD service at 1:00 PM!
How can you help?
- Commit to Pray. Pray that God would bless all three services as we seek to bring Him glory in this city.
- Commit to a Service Time. Prayerfully consider which service you should commit to for this season.
- Commit to Serve. Prayerfully begin thinking about how you can use your Spiritual Gifts to worship God, by serving the people you have committed to.

Why, you ask?
In 2024, City Church seeks to be a community unwaveringly committed to the passionate, Biblical worship of our Savior Jesus Christ.
It is too small a thing for God to receive worship from us only. He is worthy of WORLDWIDE worship. In a city of 20+ Million, we have an incredible opportunity to make MORE disciples (worshippers). Three services will give us space for 900 passionate Jesus worshippers, growing in Christ through the regular means of grace (preaching, prayer, praise, and the sacraments).
But even 900 passionate Christ worshippers is too small of a goal. What can we do to grow MORE worshippers in Beijing? Imagine…a new CHURCH PLANT in another part of Beijing. That is part of the vision behind our 1:00 PM service. To be clear, if you commit to the 1:00 PM service, you are NOT committing to a church plant. But we WILL be intentional in using the 1:00 PM service to train up and equip individuals who will lead a future church plant.
How can you help?
- Commit to Pray. Seriously, we need it. Pray for this new service and the future church plant.
- Commit to a Service Time. Church is not an independent gathering of private worship. It’s a COMMUNITY, committed to Christ and one another. Prayerfully consider which service you should commit to for this season.
- Commit to Serve. Every Christian has been given the Holy Spirit who has empowered us with Spiritual Gifts that are to be used to edify the body. This is your “spiritual act of worship”. Prayerfully begin thinking about how you can serve one another in the service you have committed to.
God is worthy of worldwide worship, and He has commission us to GO and make disciples. That is our vision behind this new service and church plant.
In Him,
TJ Johnson
