TeachingWhat is this Ministry?• The Teaching Ministry is the pulpit ministry at the BICF. It involves preparing sermons for our Sunday morning celebration services and preaching as needed. What is my commitment? How often? What do I do?• We are on a teaching rotation so you can preach as often or as much as you’re able. We often ask people to preach once every 4-8 weeks. You’ll need to prepare and follow the preaching guidelines of the BICF ZGC. Do I need any training? How can I get it?• The training required for preaching is not provided by the BICF. What should I do to get involved? Who do I contact?• If you have the gift of preaching and would like to get involved with the Teaching ministry at the BICF, please contact the elders through Mark Blair ( markblair(a)bicf.org ). To take part in this ministry, it is crucial that you are involved in other areas of the church for at least six months. Additionally, please provide a recording of a past sermon to the elders. Why should I do this ministry?• The gift of preaching and sharing the Word with the body of Christ is a ministry that is powerfully used by the Holy Spirit. If this is your gift and you have preached before, you know valuable it is to share with God’s people. We want to give you a chance to share from you heart with our congregation here in Beijing. Please contact the elders if you feel God’s call in your heart. |
