AdministrationWhat is this Ministry?• Administration is the catch-all term for the work that needs to be done to keep the church running. But it’s a ministry! Some things to do are contacting newcomers, preparing the bulletin, decorating the office space and recruiting volunteers. And if you have the gift of organization, this ministry is for you! What is my commitment? How often? What do I do?• ZGC has a full-time administrator so if you’re interested in helping, you won’t have to come up with the projects! There are many small things to do to keep a church running. One option is to come once a week in the afternoon for a couple hours. You’ll be given a project (ex. decorating one of the rooms or updating an inventory). Then you can come in whenever you want to finish it. Do I need any training? How can I get it?• Some tasks require training: Creating the bulletin or managing the room calendar but it will be provided by the ZGC administrator. Other training also happens on the job. What should I do to get involved? Who do I contact?• Contact the ZGC Administrator—Rob Eberz (zgc(a)bicf.org) or call the office at 8286-2813. Why should I do this ministry?• Administration is the “behind-the-scenes” grunt work that helps everything else function smoothly. If you get pleasure from seeing a job well done and have the gift of service, then you can contribute. We are a body and each part has its role. Praise the Lord! |
